Mid Autumn Festival (or called “Lantern Festival”) is coming up on 27th September 2015 (the 28th is the public holiday after it!). Local people like to gather with family and friends enjoying the moonlight.
The god brings us a special gift at our Mid Autumn Fest this year. We will see the “Super Moon” which is 7% bigger than what we normally see. This is the biggest moonlight since 1997.
Explained by the scientist in the Observatory, the moon surrounds the earth with oval track. When it moves to the closest distance with the Earth, we will feel the moon is bigger visually.
Shall we take this chance to raise up our heads and enjoy it!
